Mystery Readers Spring 2008

Justine Boivin visited Miss Laliberte's 1st grade class dressed as a pirate on April 11, 2008 and read Pirates Don't Change Diapers by Melinda Long.

Mr. Hunt, in full pirate attire, reads How I Became a Pirate to Mrs. Parrino's 1st grade class on March 31, 2008.

Second Graders Have Fun Following Directions Using Library “How to Books.”


Second graders rotated stations and by following directions had an opportunity to:
Draw a dinosaur
Make Pipe Cleaner Hearts
Trace silhouettes
Make snake bookmarks
Construct paper chains

Attention poetry lovers...


Last year, students in Miss Chadwick’s class studied poetry. Their poems were submitted for possible publication. Four poems were selected and published in the Young American Poetry Digest 2007. Congratulations, girls! This is the first book in the Farrington School Library with the work of our students. It is now available for check out in the library.

Jon James from 92 Moose, Gary Crocker, Maine Humorist and Betsy Pohl, director of Lithgow Public Library visited the 5th grades in February 2007 to give them tips on how they prepare themselves for public speaking engagements.
