READING FOR COLLEGE

This course is for students who are preparing for college and would like to increase their comprehension, vocabulary, ability to recognize the main idea, understand comparison and contrast, and cause and effect. Techniques in reading will be taught in order to be able to read smarter - not harder. The class is taught using the STAR reading method to prepare students to pass the college entrance Accuplacer assessment. The instructor will use PowerPath screening for vision, hearing, and scotopic sensitivity.
