The day program offers individuals the opportunity to pursue their educational goals.  Our classrooms provide a warm and inviting learning environment with small classes and individualized instruction.  Whether you are college bound or learning to read, we have the teaching staff and classes to get you started.  So if you are looking to continue your education, call us at 626-2470.  Fees are based on class type and program.

COLLEGE TRANSITIONS

Writing and Number Skills for College classes provides the academic skills to enter a community college.  We also offer the academic entrance placement assessment (Accuplacer).  To schedule a time, please call us.

 

REFRESHER MATH

Our flexible and multi-level math classes offer individuals the opportunity to brush up on their current skills in the areas from basic computation through Pre-Calculus. The instruction includes textbook and on-line academic software.

 

COMPUTER CLASSES

If you are not sure how to navigate your computer or want to learn more about the software applications of MS Word, Excel, or PowerPoint we offer classes in Basic Computers, Introduction to Computers, as well as a digital photography class that teaches you how to get the most from your camera.

 

HIGH SCHOOL COMPLETION

Adults who want to earn their high school diploma have an option to enroll in day classes.  The first step is to make an appointment with Karen Drinkuth our counselor.  She will discuss your goals, learning styles, administer the CASAS assessment, and develop a plan for your high school completion.

 

ENGLISH SPEAKERS of OTHER LANGUAGES (ESOL)

If English is not your first language or you want to improve your current speaking skills and knowledge, we offer classes from non-speaking to advance.  The ESOL software program Rosetta Stone is also available to individuals.

 

ADULT BASIC EDUCATION (ABE)

Many adults have not developed their basic reading, writing, and math skills.  Our program offers the opportunity to learn in a small, comfortable, and encouraging classroom setting.
