AUTO BODY - BASIC

This is an introductory course that takes you through the steps necessary to repair and paint an auto.  In this class you will learn the use of shop tools, body filling, masking, priming, basic metal straightening, brazing, and paint preparation. The class will include classroom instruction and shop work on student vehicles. Masking paper and tape will be furnished. Students will be responsible for remaining supplies.

INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY I

KEISTER, TERRY

This class is the next level in understanding digital photography. It focuses on what to do with your still digital images, once you have a basic understanding of your digital camera. You will be exposed to editing concepts and printing locally, as well as on line. Programs such as Adobe PhotoShop Elements will be demonstrated and techniques such as rotating, cropping, red-eye correction and the use of the magic wand will be discussed. Other programs include the use of “Windows Photo Story” to create a professional quality DVD to share with your

friends and family.

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY II

Ok, you finally get the chance to take those digital stills and videos and make them into something special. Learn how to take your transferred home movies, digital videos (or digital photos) and use “Microsoft Windows Movie Maker”. You will also learn how to import graphic images and sound, as well as how to assemble your audio and video clips. You will also learn about story board view, in addition to timeline view; learn how to add audio clips to the track

beneath the video and how to create transitions between the video clips. This class is sure to assist in turning you into a Spielburg.

PHOTOGRAPHY WITH COBBY

COBBS, SYLVESTER

This program will introduce you to photography, the basics of operating your camera in 35-mm or larger format. You will learn techniques for taking good photographs in available light, understanding camera controls, and composition. This program is for photographers who have a desire to become visually articulate and develop their own personal skills and style.

Each student will need a 35-mm camera. A tripod is also recommended.

SERV-SAFE CERTIFICATION COURSE

ARBOUR, VALERIE

This is an accredited food safety course. Serv-Safe is nationally recognized training for the Health and Hospitality industry. After taking this course you will have the appropriate skills and knowledge in food safety and food hygiene. Over the six weeks, we will study the serv-safe text, learn to calibrate thermometers, watch several sanitation films, and finish with the Serv-Safe test on the last week. Who should take this course?

 

    People who work in:

        3. Hospitals, restaurants, cafes, etc.

        4. Childcare centers/canteens

 

After passing your Serv-Safe test you will receive your Serv-Safe certification.
