From the basics of design to Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD), this program prepares students for entry-level positions within the industry and tools for post secondary education.  CADD skills are developed through applied drawings created by state-of-the-art equipment.  Individualization of instruction allows students to qualify for beginning drafting positions while providing an excellent foundation for those planning a career in Architecture or Engineering.  Computer Aided Drafting & Design is divided into two ½ day programs with the possibility of combining the two for a full day option.

The Architectural Drafting class (AM) will use CADD for learning design principles and methods in residential drawing and design.  Students will develop the necessary technical skills to communicate architectural ideas in an understandable, efficient, and accurate manner.  This class will also design and draw plans for a residence to be constructed by the Building Construction class.

The Mechanical Drafting class (PM) will use CADD software and CAM (computer aided machining) technology on the CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) milling and lathe machines.
