In my US History class we were discussing the Age of Reform and the Progressive Movement. My teacher taught me how to build a webpage to show what I learned.

The Muckrakers

The Progressive Era was a period of reform that lasted from the 1890's to the 1920's. During this time period better housing, safe working conditions, and child labor laws were a few of the main things to be established because of the efforts of the people who wrote about the terrible conditions our country was in. Today there are better working conditions, child labor laws, and food that is safer to eat because of the FDA. There are also minimum wage laws and zoning laws which prevent factories from getting established next to communities or schools.
