Farrington Elementary has gotten off to quite a “fishy” start this year!  We have adopted a set of core values that we are calling the Farrington Fish Ph(f)ilosophy.  Our philosophy is this:

WE BELIEVE ... all members of the Farrington Community (students, teachers, administrators, parents, volunteers) are capable of behaving as good citizens.  As good citizens, we ...  ARE RESPECTFUL, ARE RESPONSIBLE, APPRECIATE DIVERSITY, ARE KIND, ARE HONEST, AND ARE SAFE.  

Each Monday, we have an all-school assembly where we kick off one of the above core values.  We watch plays, sing songs, and talk about the core value.  Teachers offer a ½ hour per day follow-up lesson, in their classroom, which further explains  the core value.  On our website, you will find some wonderful photos which emphasize the work students are doing, to show what they know about the core values.  Please enjoy the photos and watch for much more to come.  Also, stop by and introduce yourself to me when you get the opportunity, and thank you for the pleasure of working with your children.
