Band Concert – Thursday, January 14 we will be treated to an all city band concert in the Cony auditorium at 7:00.  Please come and hear our newest musicians.

Early Release Day – Friday, January 15 is an early release day for professional development for teachers and staff.  Students will be dismissed at 11:40.

Toilet paper, paper towels, tissues.  These are the items being requested from Farrington School to help stock a “warm center” in Augusta.  What is a warm center?  It is a place where people without housing during the day can go to get warm and have some fellowship.  There will be a large box in the lobby for these items.  If you are able, please send these items in to help this new project of Bread of Life Ministries.

Please check the Augusta School Department web site to see some pictures of our Farrington students giving back to the community.  You can also find these, and additional pictures, featured on our Farrington web site.

Reading is important, as well as Math and Science and Social Studies.  Please help us with your child’s learning by reading with them and helping them work on math facts every night.  Make it fun. Try a math-fact-of-the-day at the dinner table. Challenge your child to read a certain amount of books.  Read together, taking turns doing alternate pages.  Addition, subtraction and multiplication tables are essential fordo higher math.  Make flash cards with math facts on them or sight words.  Please be our partner and help your child learn.  The home is so very important.
