A)    Welcome by Shawna Beaulieu : Farrington PTC President

B)   Principal’s Report:

·        Mrs. Neighoff introduced Farrington’s new assistant principal, Kathy Hollicker.  Welcome to Kathy, and thank you for coming to Farrington’s PTC meeting.  We look forward to getting to know you.

·        Mrs. Neighoff relayed that we are already off to a fabulous start this year with Farrington’s new “Farrington Friends Fish Ph(f)ilosophy Program.  There has already been an assembly on respect & responsibility and all students seem to be responding well.  A special thank you to those staff that put in extra time this past summer putting the program together.

·        A new piece of equipment has been added to the new playground equipment that was put in at the end of last school year, for those in grade K-2.  These new pieces include an extension piece and extra slides to make this new addition to the playground that much safer for our younger students.  Mrs. Neighoff put in a request to the PTC for money towards this new equipment.  The PTC voted to give the school $1000 at this time towards the equipment and more in the future as needed.

·        Our new assistant principal, Kathy Hollicker, has volunteered to do a presentation on Internet Safety at the October PTC Meeting.  We look forward to the information!

C)   Treasurer’s Report:

·        Kim passed out a report on the current status of the PTC’s account and explained and answered any questions.  The account is in great shape thanks to the outstanding efforts by the PTC members last year and their fundraising events.

·        There was a discussion on the necessity of paying for and creating a tax ID number for the school in order to apply for tax-exempt status.

·        Kim made an announcement to all those present at the meeting that she and her family will be relocating to New Hampshire sometime in the near future, so the position of PTC treasurer will become available for anyone who is interested.  Kim has agreed to sit down with the new member and educate them on anything that they might need to know.  Thank you, Kim. You will be missed when the time comes to say goodbye.
