Athena is one of the most famous names in Greek Mythology.  She is the goddess of wisdom and war.  She was born from her father’s forehead.  She was brave and always happy.  I will tell you all about my goddess.  I will tell you her personality, her appearance, and her family.
Athena was beautiful.  She had long brown hair.  She always carried a shield and wore a helmet.  She was happy and was very nice.  Her symbol is the owl or the olive tree, which she gave to the Athens as a gift.  When she was born from Zeus’s head she was full armed with a helmet and a spear.  Even though she was the goddess of war, she only wanted peace.  She wasn’t very talkative.
Athena only had 3 family members, Zeus, Metis, and her uncle Poseidon.  Zeus was scared that Metis was going to have a son that was more powerful then him he decided to swallow Metis.  While in Zeus, Metis was working on an armor for her daughter.  Zeus’s head was pounding so he asked a man to cut his head open and out sprang Athena fully grown and fully armed.  Her uncle Poseidon was afraid that the Athens would like Athena better than him.  So he decided to give the Athens a gift.  The gift was a horse.  The Athens were very pleased.  Then Athena gave them an olive tree.  It provided light and food.  Poseidon was mad.
Athena is known for war and wisdom, also crafts.  She had a competition for looming against a young goddess.  She won of course.  She was born very talented.       A lot of people were jealous of her.
The word Athena means aine.  No one knows for sure what it means.  Her roman name Minerva.  Her name is Athena which she got from the Athens.  It really doesn’t mean anything else.

Athena was really interesting to learn about.  I actually haven’t heard of Athena until now.  I found a lot of information.  You should look some information too.   I can’t wait to learn about your god or goddess too.
