      17.  Assistant Superintendent’s Report: 

Ms. Madore reported that 11 truancy letters were sent out this past month;  Administrators and staff are preparing for state assessment for ELL students in grades K-12;  Administrators completed the Early Release agenda for January 18 and will be distributed to staff this week;  involved in budget work. 

      18.  Superintendent’s Report: 

Mr. Anastasio thanked Public Works for the great job they do clearing the roads and keeping administration informed of road conditions; thanked First Student for getting students to school and home safely;  he and Ms. Madore will be attending the annual Maine Superintendents Convocation in Portland January 17 and 18 where the focus will be on students and will hear from the new Department of Education commissioner;  invited the new commissioner to attend the Kennebec Valley Association of Superintendents meeting;  involved in budget work.
