Mr. Flannery reported that the boys and girls swim team won the KVAC Conference Champsionships and the girls swim team placed 2nd at the States; wrestling team had two state champions this year – Noah Dumais and Aaron Lettre; the boys basketball and hockey teams both made playoffs;  Chizzle Wizzle was a great success; in March the UMO University Singers came to Cony and performed a concert;  March 21st students and staff participated in the Down Syndrome Day by wearing crazy and colorful socks to show support; last week was the International Pot Luck Dinner; April 9 was Aspirations Day; Juniors completed their SATs and 8th graders completed their MEA testing.

      17.  Assistant Superintendent’s Report:

Ms. Madore reported that since the last meeting 25 truancy letters were sent out; received notice from the DOE that our MLTI grant application was accepted and approved for $220,200 for three years.

 

      18.  Superintendent’s Report:

Mr. Anastasio said there are two students from SKILLS attending the National Competition in Kentucky.  Last night there was a presentation on our budget to the City Council with impressive support from the board and administrators and the presentation went very well.

 

      19.  Reports from Other School Officials: 

Troy Alexander thanked the PTO for all their support for the parent/student dance.

Theresa Violette, Director of Title I and McKinney Vento Liaison, said they have received funding for a McKinney Vento sub-grant that will support our homeless students with support afterschool through our social workers and staff within our buildings.
