Mr. Anastasio said the lack of substitutes and the increased social/emotional needs of students, especially at the elementary level, is presenting challenges for administrators, teachers, and educational technicians more than ever.  He thanked all of them for their efforts and said administration is doing whatever it can to help.  He said in talking with other superintendents and assistant superintendents, everyone is facing the same things in their schools and the national media is even talking about it because it is happening all across the country.  He asked that anyone who is interested in substituting to contact the Superintendent’s office.
