Ms. Cooper reported that finals are next Thursday and Friday.  Diversity Day is January 21.  Student council is preparing for Chizzle Wizzle and Winter Carnival.  The ends for Chizzle Wizzle are Dylan Begley, Kate Boston, Brooklynn Merrill, Kristin Merrill, Cade Parker and Spencer Soiett.  Key Club has been working on some community events and planning a family movie night at Cony.  Key Club officers will be attending the lieutenant governor caucus January 12.  CATC is having an assembly on January 31 and the middle school will have an awards assembly next month.

17.  Assistant Superintendent’s Report:

Ms. Madore said we are officially entering the season of assessments.  She said middle and high school students are currently taking the WIDA Access test which is the ELL state assessment.  Elementary students will take the assessments in a couple of weeks. 

18.  Superintendent’s Report:

Mr. Anastasio said they are beginning to put the school calendar together for next year.  The process involves CATC’s Director and all the superintendents who send students to the Capital Area Technical Center.  Work on the budget continues and it should be ready to present to the board and public in a few weeks.  Budget workshops will be scheduled. 

He said he and Business Manager Kathy Casparius met with the City Manager and Assistant City Manager regarding a solar panel energy plan.
