2. WIDA Access results
Donna Madore, Assistant Superintendent, gave an overview of WIDA Access results. WIDA is a state assessment which is federally mandated on an annual basis for students in grades K-12. The results are used as to where to place students in the ELL Program. Once students reach a 4.5 proficiency level, they can exit the program. Eight students in grades K-6 and six students in grades 7-12 reached a proficiency level of 4.5 and were exited from the program. Once students are exited they are monitored for two years. Success of the program shows in the growth students have made.
