Donna Madore provided an analysis, graphs and charts showing spring 2019 State assessment results.  She said the percentage of the economically disadvantaged has increased and all schools had higher levels of special education needs.  She said the Augusta School Department’s ELL population rate is 6%.  Non-economically disadvantage, non-Special education and non-ELL students have shown a growth from last year and overall all students are making slow and steady growth.

Ms. Madore reviewed the fall 2019 local assessment results with the committee.  She said a high percentage of students are not at beginning grade level for reading, writing and math; however, results have improved over previous years.
