  1. Bridge Program
At the request of some board members, James Holland, Director of CATC gave further detail about the Bridge Program that was discussed at last month’s meeting.  There were concerns that the Bridge program would take the place of dual enrollment classes now being offered at Cony.  He said that was not the case - it would be in addition to those classes.  Mr. Anastasio said if the committee approves to send the Bridge Program to the board, it would have to be contingent on the approval of additional teachers for Cony because it affects program options.
Motion by Jennifer Neumeyer to bring the Bridge Program to the board for approval and subject to additional resources.  Second by Jennifer Day, so moved 3-0.
  2. Guitar – Course Approval
Jacob Whitaker, Choral Director/HS Music Teacher, gave an overview of the Guitar course. The course will not require additional staff or equipment.  If the course is approved, it will be added to the program of studies.
Motion by Jennifer Day to forward the recommendation to the school board to approve the Guitar Course at Cony.  Second by Jennifer Neumeyer, so moved 3-0.
  3. Ultimate Frisbee Club
Steve Scoville, teacher at Cony High School requested that the Ultimate Frisbee Club be an official club of the Augusta School Department.  He said the Ultimate Frisbee Club expands offerings to students who are not involved in other sports.  It consists of two teams and that play against each other, there are no refs and it’s played for enjoyment.
Motion by Jennifer day to forward to the board the recommendation to accept the Ultimate Frisbee Club.  Second by Jennifer Neumeyer, so moved 3-0.
