1. Review Adult Ed Pay Benefits Schedule
Zane Clement, Adult Ed. Director said the only change to the wage schedule is the addition of Trades Instructor. Trade instructors are not subject to cost of living increases and experience raises. The wages are subsidized by the State and can only increase by board approval. Motion by Edward Hastings to move the revised pay schedule to the board for approval. Second by April Cusick, so moved 3-0.
2. Bus RFP
After discussing options, the committee agreed to include the following items on busing RFP.
- mileage will increase to 350,000
- some buses to be equipped with undercarriage storage
- Transfinder software on all buses
- two bus runs like we currently have with language to include the option of renegotiating the contract
Kathy Casparius said she will put the final RFP together and present it to the Finance Committee in December.
Mr. Hastings requested a district wide summary of our costs for the board’s budget document. Kathy Casparius developed a spreadsheet with Mr. Hastings’ suggestions. Ms. Casparius asked committee members if this is what they want for the budget vs what they’ve been given before which were all expenditures by school. Kim Martin feels that the proposed document is useful as a summary but would still prefer to have the expenditures by school. Ms. Casparius said an option is to modify the current budget document to include current budget, current actual and proposed. Ms. Martin asked committee members to think about it and make a decision at the next committee meeting.
4. 2015-2016 FOIA Request Legal Fees
Mr. Anastasio provided information on the 2015-2016 FOIA Requests Legal Fees. The committee agreed to pay $6,000.
Meeting adjourned at 7:33 p.m.
