PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING
August 6, 2018
5:30 p.m.

Administrators Present: James Anastasio, Donna Madore, Kathy Casparius, Troy Alexander, Teresa Beaudoin, Shelby Thibodeau, Sarah Landry, Theresa Violette
1. Raise recommendation for non-represented employees
Mr. Anastasio recommended a 3% raise for non-represented employees which is consistent with the Support Staff Union contract increase. The increase would be retro to July 1, 2018.
Motion by Tom Connors to accept the recommendation and send to the board for approval. Second by Kati McCormick, so moved 2-0.
2. Review Job Descriptions
A. Physical Education/Health Teacher
B. Library Ed Tech III
C. Art Teacher – District Wide
The committee reviewed the job descriptions. Motion by Tom Connors to approve the Physical Education/Health Teacher, Library Ed Tech III and Art Teacher – District Wide job descriptions. Second by Kati McCormick, so moved 2-0.
3. Exit Surveys - Handout
Mr. Anastasio handed out exit surveys to committee members. The surveys will be discussed at the next Personnel Committee meeting.
Motion by Kati McCormick to amend the agenda to include review of enrollment numbers and review of the administrator application form. Second by Tom Connors, so moved 2-0.
4. Enrollment Numbers
Kathy Casparius distributed current enrollment numbers as of today. Mr. Anastasio said the elementary administrative team spent a lot of time looking at parent requests for specific schools and tried to honor all requests without skewing the numbers. The numbers will change until school begins because some students will register late or move.
5. Administrator Application
Pia Holmes suggested some changes to questions on the administrator application form. She will submit changes in writing and the Personnel Committee will review.
Donna Madore reminded committee members of the Labor Day Holiday on September 3 and that committee meetings would be held on September 10. Kati McCormick said September 10 was Rosh Hashanah and recommended the Board discuss this at the next board meeting on August 15.
