PERSONNEL COMMITTEE MEETING
May 6, 2019

Committee Members Present:  Kevin Lamoreau–Acting Chair; Jennifer Dumond

1.  Review Guidance Department Head Job Description

           Attachment 1  

Donna Madore said Helen Renko, Guidance Department Head, asked to make an adjustment to the Guidance Department Head job description on page 2.  It should read “coordinates master schedules for Grades 7-2” instead of “adjusts master schedules for grades 7-12”. Ms. Silsby agrees with the requested change. 

Motion by Jennifer Dumond to change the language on the Guidance Department Head job description on page 2 from “adjusts master schedules for grades 7-12” to coordinates master schedules for grades 7-12”.  Second by Kevin Lamoreau, so moved 2-0.

The committee discussed the informational items - coordinators vs. department heads and the difference between the two.  Mr. Anastasio said originally coordinators stipend positions were for grades K-12 and department heads stipend positions were for high school/middle school grades 7 -12.  Stipends for these positions are calculated by how many people they supervise.

 

3.  Technology Position – Ad Hoc Committee (?) 

Mr. Anastasio spoke about cyber security.  Because of the issue the city experienced , he said Systems Engineering will look at our network and make recommendations.  

Motion by Jennifer Dumond to table the discussion about the technology position until after the recommendations from Systems Engineering, second by Kevin Lamoreau, so moved 2-0.
