MINUTES

Item 1 – Project Pride Job Description:
It was moved by Kim Silsby and seconded by Gregg Bernstein to approve the Draft Job Description for a Project Pride Educational Technician III.
Item 2 – Revisions to GCBDC-Family Medical Leave Act:
Dr. Brown presented recommended changes to the FMLA Policy pursuant to a Brief from Peter Lowe, Counsel for the School Department.
After a brief discussion, it was moved by Gregg Bernstein and seconded by Kim Silsby to move this item to the Board for a First Reading on June 13th.
Item 3 – Flex Benefit Change for Food Service Director, Director of Buildings and Grounds, Technology Coordinator, Network Administrator, and Superintendent of Schools:
Dr. Brown recommended that the Flex Benefit offered to the aforementioned individuals be increased to $3,500 to match the Administrator’s Contract for year 2007-2008.
It was moved by Gregg Bernstein and seconded by Kim Silsby
to approve the recommendation and move to the full Board for consideration on
June 13th. The vote was 2-0.
Item 4 – Salary Increase for Non-Represented Staff and Directors:
Superintendent Brown presented a recommended Salary Matrix for school year 2007-2008 for Central Office Directors and Non-Represented Staff.
The changes to the Salary Matrix are similar to those changes made to the Teachers and Support Staff schedules.
It was moved by Kim Silsby and seconded by Gregg Bernstein to recommend to the Board of Education adoption of the Salary Matrices.
Item 5 – Salary Increase for Superintendent, Business Manager, and Curriculum Coordinator for school year 2007-2008:
Dr. Brown recommended a 3% salary increase for school year 2007-2008 for the Central Office Administrators.
The Personnel Committee agree to meet again on this issue on June 13th at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be in the Conference Room adjacent to the Capital Area Technical Center Cafeteria.
The Personnel Committee adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
