Hello and Welcome--
It is my privilege to work with the diverse student body, involved families, and supportive staff at Cony! I enjoy helping my students achieve academic success, make post-secondary plans, and cope with personal issues. If you have questions or concerns at any time, I can be reached by phone (626-2460 x3311) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org). To schedule a time to meet in person, please call the Guidance secretary at 626-2454.
I graduated with a B.A. from Cornell University, earned my M.Ed. from the University of Massachusetts, and completed post-graduate certification coursework in the Counselor Education program at University of Southern Maine. Before coming to Cony in 2001, I worked as a social worker in community-based settings and as a K-8 guidance counselor/social worker in Union #44. I am proud to be a part of a public school like Cony that offers its students so many opportunities to realize their potential.
Outside of work, my greatest joy in life is spending time with my husband, our two sons and their families. I also enjoy reading, gardening, movies, yoga, connecting with family and friends, and finding new homes for used books.
FOR MY STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY:
"I hope you can come to find that which gives life a deep meaning for you, something that energizes you, enthuses you, (and) enables you to keep moving ahead." ~Ita Ford
"It is crucial to remember that the key role of public schools is to preserve democracy and that, as battered as we might be, our mission is central to the future of this country." -- Paul D. Houston
