Parents, Athletes, Coaches, Community Members:

The MPA issued updated the Spring Sports Season Policy with some new guidelines yesterday late afternoon.  Essentially, it is now o.k. for coaches to provide workouts and communicate with athletes individually.  First and Foremost, anything done should Follow CDC Guidelines, MPA and District policies.  The following are the updated guidelines until the start of the season on 4.27.20:

-Any and all Communication by coaches should be Virtually, encourage social distancing
-Coaches can encourage athletes to be active and promote social and emotional well being
-Coaches can communicate with athletes and provide individual workouts
-Coaches can encourage athletes to complete academic work
-Coaches cannot have mandatory workouts
-Coaches cannot have Team Workouts
-There will be NO captains practices

Please follow these guidelines as they are meant for safety and well being of everyone. Please understand as the pandemic evolves,  changes will likely occur.  I will continue to keep everyone informed as information
changes.
Please be safe and well .

SOMETIMES YOU WILL NEVER KNOW THE VALUE OF THE MOMENT - UNTIL IT BECOMES A Memory

AD's Message  March 27, 2020

Athletes, Parents, Coaches, Staff, and Community Members:

I certainly hope this finds you and your loved ones in great health and spirits. Neither personally nor professionally have we ever experienced anything like this. The worst part is, it seems like all we know is what we don't know.  Uncertainty, speculation and concern run rampant throughout our society. Social distancing is a new term and reality for most people.  Both coaches and student athletes are struggling with not being able to gather for practices.

As you know the start of our season has been postponed with a start date of April 27.  As far as we all are from the usual routines, we do know that when this all passes, we will all want to get things back to normal as quickly as possible for the kids!  Accordingly, we all should continue to plan to hit the ground running on April 27th.  Please understand your coaches must refrain from coaching or directing our athletes until then.   I encourage our athletes to follow CDC guidelines and keep your social distance.

I think it is a feasible idea that our athletes seek out Virtual workouts.  Virtual workouts allow us to stay active and maintain social distance.   To this end (I'm sure there are others):  you can find Virtual workouts on FACEBOOK LIVE Boot Camp Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays @10am with Pro-Trainer Ed Downs!  Ed is offering this free to area High School Students.

We are certainly in unfamiliar territory.  We can only control what we control.   Therefore, until we know more, social distance but stay connected.  As new information becomes available, I will update everyone.  Be safe and healthy.  I MISS EVERYONE!!!!!

 Best Wishes,

Jon Millett
