Elementary School Counselor
I have been fortunate to be the School Counselor at Farrington School for 21 years! I received my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Later, I received a C.A.S. (Course of Advanced Study) in Play Therapy at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham.
Early in my career, I worked as a family therapist, a therapist for children and adults at a mental health agency and a mediator for the State of Maine. I was and continue to be very excited to be an elementary school counselor. Children spend nearly 8 hours each day learning academics, social skills and ways of coping with the world. As a school counselor, I am in a great position to help students along the way!
In my free time, I love to read, explore new recipes, and to knit. I live in the woods with my husband and my dog in a house we built by hand. I enjoy the peace, quiet and beauty of home and I love the excitement, creativity and learning I experience at our school!
