Mrs. Katie Dutil

Third Grade
Teacher Biography:

Welcome to my home page!  I have been teaching at Hussey Elementary School since 2009.   I enjoy working with the staff to try and meet the student's academic needs.  Before working for the Augusta school system, I worked at both Waterville and Sidney schools.  I graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington in 2008 with a degree in Elementary Education, and I have  earned my Master's degree in Education at Thomas College in 2012.  When I am not inside the classroom, I enjoy reading, swimming, gardening, the outdoors, and being a mom!

Homework Information

In order for you to receive information about what is happening at Hussey School, along with homework and important updates, students need to bring back their yellow homework folder every day. Homework should be a practice of material covered in the classroom. If your student is struggling with any aspect of the homework, please send me an e-mail or note addressing your concerns.

Reading Logs will be sent home every Monday (or the first day of the school week), and will be completed and  returned every Monday. Please read the Reading Log carefully for instructions.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Math Homework will be a practice of skills we are working on in class.  If your child does not complete the math assignment in class, it will be assigned for homework.

Thank you for all of your help and support regarding your child’s education.
Classroom Expectations:  Students are expected to follow the Hussey School rules inside and outside of the classroom.  We are expecting students to be responsible, be respectful, and be safe.
