Mrs. Thoopsamoot

 Hello! Welcome to sixth grade!

My name is Cassandra Thoopsamoot (toop-sa-moot) and this is my second year teaching sixth grade at Lincoln Elementary school! (This will be my third year teaching for the Augusta School District.) I am so ecstatic to be part of the Lincoln school family and community!

A little about me

My family and I live in the Waterville/ Fairfield area, but I enjoy the commute to Augusta. One of the many reasons my husband and I love Maine, is that anywhere you go there is always a scenic drive. I am mother of three beautiful little boys and have been married to my high school sweetheart for almost ten years. We have three fur babies--two dogs and a bunny!

My educational career began at Kennebec Valley Community College, where I earned my Associates in Early Childhood Education. Then, in December of 2016 I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology at Thomas College, where I became certified to teach grades K-8 in the state of Maine. I believe in life-long learning and that is how I teach--I encourage students to embrace all that is around them and that there is always a learning opportunity. I believe every student is unique and should be addressed as an independent. I believe the partnership between family and school is essential to student success.

Parents and Caregivers

I am so excited to work together in order to make this year a wonderful experience for you and your child.  Together we will help develop your child to be a life-long learner. Please don't hesitate to contact me!  I check planners often and have a "notes from home" basket in the classroom, but please feel free to email or leave a message on my voicemail anytime you have a question, concern, or just want to check in.
