Amanda Mills- Title I Literacy Specialist

Welcome to Lincoln Title I

My name is Amanda Mills. My educational career began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education and from there I spent a number of years as a resource room teacher supporting students with learning disabilities, primarily those struggling with reading and writing at both the elementary and middle school levels. Shortly after earning my Master’s Degree in Literacy, I left special education to join Augusta's Title I team as one of the district's Literacy Specialists. My time is currently divided between supporting students at Lincoln Elementary (mornings) and St. Michael's (afternoons).

Lincoln's Title I room has been relocated this year. Mrs. Perkins, Mrs. Boivin, and I will now be sharing a room with Title I math and the Title I interventionist upstairs, next door to the library. Our program continues to work with students in grades K through 6 who qualify for additional reading support.

I can be reached by email at amanda.mills@augustaschools.org and also at Lincoln School (626-2483) in the morning.
