Sue Dionne, Principal

SueD

I have served as an educator in Maine for the past 32 years. I am in my eighth year as the principal of Gilbert School. I was named principal of Sylvio J. Gilbert School in 2007, after serving as assistant principal and dean of students at Farrington Elementary School from 2005 – 2007. Before becoming an administrator, I taught various grade levels starting in 1979. When I was a teacher at Farrington School I taught kindergarten, second, and third grades.  Prior to coming to Augusta I taught third, fourth, seventh, and eighth grades in two different school districts.

I obtained both my Bachelor in Science degree in Child Development and Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Maine at Orono.

In my spare time I enjoy attending and supporting Gilbert School functions. When I am not at Gilbert School my favorite thing to do is spending time with my husband and two daughters.

I am passionate about serving the students, parents, and staff at Gilbert School and feel privileged to be part of the Gilbert School family.
