  1. Mr. Paul Vachon, Athletic Director and the Cony Freshman Football team came and presented a slide show of the 2010-11 Cony Homecoming events.  In addition the Freshman Football team shared that they had won a very important game recently and to show school spirit they sang the school song at the game.  The team then sang the song again for the members of the School Board.
  2. Ms. Mary Redmond-Luce came and presented information on the AmeriCorps Teen Leadership and Career Corps program.

6)      Communications:

Dr. Brown reviewed communications from the Maine School Board Association regarding the Proposed Resolution Packet.  Next she reviewed the Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) from the Department of Education for school year 2009-2010.  Lastly, Dr. Brown let the School Board know that two donations had been made from the following: C&M Distributors, Inc. made a donation to the Farrington Elementary School in the amount of $500.00 for playground supplies; and the Cony Class of 1960 made a donation of $2600.00 for the Cony Library.

Mr. John Pucciarelli gave the Augusta School Board updates on the procedures that are in place to address pests within the school buildings.  He explained the Integrated Pest Management system that is used with all of the schools.
