November 2025, Professional of the Month: Ashley Olson

Senior Ashley Olson has quickly become a standout in CATC’s Business Academy. She shares that her understanding of business has grown tremendously in a short time, thanks in part to the program’s engaging mini-projects. These hands-on opportunities allow her to explore a wide range of business concepts in depth.
Recently, Ashley completed a project in which she developed a small business plan—an eye-opening experience that introduced her to the wealth of resources available to entrepreneurs. She is also taking advantage of the program’s dual-enrollment offerings, including Public Speaking through Thomas College. Ashley notes that this course has significantly strengthened her public speaking skills, an asset she will carry into any future career.
Outside the classroom, Ashley is a member of the Cony field hockey and lacrosse teams. Her leadership and enthusiasm extend to CATC as well. Business Academy instructor Mr. Scott Perkins shared: “Ashley is hardworking and actively participates in classroom discussions and is certainly not afraid to take on new challenges. She is always willing and eager to support the Business program in any way that she can, including lending a helping hand to CATC’s social media content and showcasing her entrepreneurial skills at the monthly CATC Advisory Council meeting. We definitely appreciate Ashley’s commitment to excellence and expect big things from her in the future.”
After graduation, Ashley plans to attend college to study business, with the goal of earning her MBA. Her drive, curiosity, and professionalism make her a truly deserving Professional of the Month.
