William Ellsey, Jr., a senior from Erskine Academy, has been selected as our December Professional of the Month. He is currently enrolled for his second year in the Graphic Design & Visual Arts program, where he has distinguished himself through creativity, dedication, and a strong work ethic.
William particularly enjoys creating digital art and thrives in the hands-on aspects of the program. He is always eager to experiment with new tools and techniques, pushing himself to grow as an artist. He is especially proud of his final poster design project completed at the end of last year, which showcased his favorite cartoon characters and skillfully incorporated many of the concepts and techniques he had learned throughout the course.
Outside of school, William continues to develop his artistic skills by drawing and practicing animation. He also enjoys watching documentaries and other programs to spark new ideas and inspire his creative process.
Graphic Design & Visual Arts instructor Mrs. Jaime Clark shared high praise for William, noting, “William sets a high standard for work ethic, professionalism, and personal responsibility. His attendance is excellent, and he arrives each day ready to give 110% to every task placed in front of him.” She added that William works well both independently and in group settings, consistently approaching every assignment with focus, creativity, and a positive attitude.
William is also known for going above and beyond expectations—volunteering to speak in promotional videos, assisting during the College and Career Fair, helping hang student artwork in the lobby, and stepping into any role needed to support the program. His initiative, reliability, and collaborative spirit make him a positive role model for his peers.
After graduation, William plans to continue his education in motion graphics design. We are proud to recognize him as our December Professional of the Month and look forward to seeing where his creativity and dedication take him next.
