Congratulations to Cony's Fatimah Hatem for placing second and Miko Frecker for placing third in last night's Kennebec County Spelling Bee. After several rounds of intense and impressive spelling, Messalonskee emerged as the champion and will advance to the Maine State Bee next month. However, Fatimah will stand in the ready as the alternate. A shout-out goes to Mr. Davis and Mr. Scoville for officiating and to Ms. Morin and Mr. Michelson for tech support. Special thanks to Ms. Darby for coordinating the bee!
