Our Halloween Parade filled the halls with princesses, superheroes, dinosaurs, a pumpkin or two, and so many high-fives. Our students looked amazing, and our staff jumped right in on the fun too. The smiles say it all!

Gilbert's Family Game Night is this week!
Tuesday night 5-6pm
Join us for an hour of games, laughs, and time together! We'll have board games and card games set up and ready to go, so just come and play. If your family has a favorite game at home, you're welcome to bring it along and teach others how to play.
All ages are welcome, so bring the whole crew!
BOO! It’s Boo Gram time at Gilbert!
Our staff work hard every single day for our kids. This Halloween, we want to surprise them with a little love.
Know a teacher, interventionist, custodian, kitchen crew member, or someone in the office who makes a difference? Send them a Boo Gram! Write a kind note and sign your name, or keep it a spooky mystery. We’ll take care of the rest, and Boo Grams will land in staff mailboxes before Halloween.

New this year: our Volunteer Menu. Pick what fits YOUR time and talents — anything from "copy a few flyers" (1 hour) to "lead the book fair" (all year), with lots of help-from-home options in between. There's honestly no wrong choice on the menu.

Our 1st graders kicked off their first session with an educator from the Owls Head Transportation Museum, and Storybook Science was a big hit!
Students revisited classic tales like The Three Little Pigs and The Three Billy Goats Gruff, talked about the problems the characters faced, and then became engineers themselves, designing, building, and testing their own solutions. Could their house stand up to the big bad wolf? Would their bridge hold?
There was plenty of teamwork, problem-solving, and “let’s try that again!” Take a look at our young engineers in action. We can’t wait to see what they come up with next session!

First, a thank you. Last week's early release went beautifully. Buses rolled out on time, the pickup line moved, and the new 12:00 dismissal ran like we'd been doing it for years. That was all of you — thank you for reading, planning ahead, and making the switch easy on our kids.

Please read carefully! Beginning with our first early release day, Wednesday, September 16th, students will be dismissed at 12:00 PM — a change from the previous 11:40 AM time.
This applies to everyone: bus drop-offs AND car/parent pickup all happen earlier. Please make sure whoever gets your child knows about the change.
