Thank you!

Next week (May 4–8), we’re excited to celebrate the incredible staff of Gilbert School and we truly couldn’t ask for a better team.
Every day, our teachers and support staff show up for students in ways big and small. Bringing patience, humor, consistency, and so much care into our building. It’s those everyday moments that make Gilbert such a special place to learn and grow.
We know our families and community see that too, and if you’d like to share a note of appreciation, we’d love to pass that along. You can email Principal Hartill (erin.hartill@augustaschools.org) or send in a handwritten note, both mean so much to our staff, and we’ll be sure they get delivered!
Thank you for helping us celebrate the people who make Gilbert, Gilbert.

Tuesday May 5th from 6-7 PM
6th grade students must arrive by 4:45pm
5th Grade students must arrive by 5:30pm

Students and families enjoyed read alouds with Miss Mindy, Mr. Baker, and Mrs. Parks. There was plenty of laughter while trying to beat the record of Ten on Top with Mrs. Lerley, and students got creative making Hungry Caterpillar necklaces. We also shared some sweet treats with cake and ice cream.
The best part was seeing students excited about reading and heading home with books to enjoy.
Thank you to our staff and families who helped make the night so special. We love celebrating reading together as a school community! ❤️
