We are grateful to everyone who joined us for our two recent community forums as part of the ongoing school construction project planning process. These events gave us the opportunity to share information, answer questions, and hear directly from community members about their priorities and hopes for this project. Your input is helping shape a plan that reflects the values and needs of our community.
With these forums now complete, we are moving into the next important phase: a straw poll vote. A straw poll is a non-binding community vote that allows us to gauge overall public support for the proposed school construction project before it goes to the formal state referendum. This particular straw poll will focus on the proposed site selection: an addition to Farrington Elementary School. This step plays an important role in the approval process and ensures the direction we’re moving in aligns with our community’s vision. All Augusta residents are encouraged to attend and participate in the straw poll.
When: Monday, October 27th at 6:00 PM
Where: Farrington Elementary School (249 Eastern Ave)
Light refreshments and child care will be provided. Please fill out this Google form to let us know if you’ll need child care so we can be fully prepared and staffed: https://forms.gle/MVNRUcdgu2z9yojf6
Community engagement has been, and will continue to be, at the heart of this process. We look forward to seeing you there and hearing your thoughts as we work together to shape schools that will serve our students and our community for generations to come.
