The Augusta School Department is pleased to announce that kindergarten screenings for the 2026–2027 school year are coming up soon at all four of our elementary schools. If your child will be entering kindergarten this fall, we encourage you to contact your closest school right away to set up a screening appointment.
Kindergarten screening is simply a way for our educators to welcome your family and help ensure every child gets off to the best possible start.
How to schedule your appointment
Parents and guardians should call their child's home school directly to schedule a screening appointment during the dates listed on this Kindergarten Readiness Document. Spots are limited, so we recommend calling as soon as possible.
