Augusta Schools will officially implement a Remote School Day for today, 12/2/2025.
Students and staff will work from home, and the day will count as an instructional day. Elementary students should refer to their Remote Roadmaps for guidance, while Middle and High School students should check Google Classroom for directions and assignments.

Founded in 1916, the Rotary Club of Augusta has a long history of community service, from providing scholarships and supporting hunger relief efforts to projects like the Augusta Dog Park, accessible garden beds for veterans, and global initiatives for clean water and polio eradication.
We’re incredibly proud to see Dr. Sikora join such a dedicated group of local leaders and can’t wait to see where this new community partnership leads and the positive impact it will bring to our schools and the greater Augusta community!

Principal Heather Gauthier and Dean of Students Nicole Clark have traded in their traditional offices for mobile workstations, affectionately dubbed the “Glam Carts.” These rolling setups allow the admin team to be out and about in the hallways, connecting with students and supporting teachers.
Way to go Lincoln team, proving that leadership doesn’t have to stay in one place to keep things rolling smoothly!

Please note that start dates vary by grade level across the district:
We encourage families to double-check their student’s start date so everyone is ready for a smooth first day.

It’s almost time for Open Houses! Our schools across the district will be opening their doors to welcome students and families before the first day of school. Open Houses are a great chance to:
✔️ Meet your teachers and staff
✔️ Explore classrooms and hallways
✔️ Learn about programs and resources
✔️ Connect with other families
Each school has its own Open House schedule — check with your student’s school for specific details. Many elementary schools stagger the start times based on grade level. Below is a general schedule.
We look forward to seeing you there as we get ready for an exciting year ahead!

Administrators from the Augusta School Department and staff and teachers from Gilbert Elementary School had the incredible opportunity to attend an educational expo at the renowned Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. The energy, passion, and innovative practices we witnessed have left us truly inspired and fueled with new ideas to bring back to our students and schools. We’re excited to take what we’ve learned and turn that inspiration into action!
*Paid for with federal grant funds earmarked for this expressed purpose.
